ASSET Program The primary objective for the Twin Oaks High School ASSET Program is to provide a safe and fun environment for students after school. We are trying to connect students with school who aren't close to school or who don't participate in school activities. It is also to help students improve grades and academic performance. There is no cost to students for the program. It is funded through a grant from the California Department of Education. Studies show that for both the language arts and mathematics portions of the CAHSEE, after-school participants passed at a significantly higher rate than similarly situated students not involved in after-school programs. The program offers academic assistance, tutoring, and homework support in core subjects, such as English, mathematics, and social science. Additionally, educational enrichment activities such as athletics, recreation, and workshops are offered. Late buses are provided five days a week at 2:30 p.m. as well as snacks both at no cost to students. Off campus sports practices that take place on Wednesdays and Fridays do not include transportation.
